Differences Between: Porter Cable 7424XP & Porter Cable 7424 Polishers

Mar 17, 2009

In April, Porter Cable is rolling out a new version of their very popular Porter Cable 7424 Car Buffer/Polisher. You are probably wondering, “What are the differences and how can Porter Cable improve on a Tool that set the standard in the car detailing  industry and just car enthusiasts in general?” – Well hopefully this article will help answer those questions and more.   Essentially, they have improved the motor and switch but have kept the same Porter Cable front end. ThePorter Cable 7424XP has an improved switch design, a more powerful 4.5 amp motor, and improved ergonomics.

As a car enthusiast and Porter Cable Polisher user myself, I find it hard to understand why this tool needed any improvement at all. Of course, only time will tell and like anything new, it remains to be seen just how new and improved this model is compared to the very reliable and popular Porter Cable 7424.

Fortunately for our customers, Tools-Plus has a huge inventory of both the very popular old and soon to be new 7424XP model.

Makita Power Tools

Mar 6, 2009

Makita Power Tools started off as a small Repair Shop back in 1915.  Since then, Makita has branched out and is selling all sorts of hand and power tools, from grinders, nailers, sanders and polishers to portable table saws. With the advancement in cordless tool technology, Makita has become one of the leaders in Lithium-ion Technology and their famous LXT series of tools.

Now that spring is almost here, try the Makita 9227C electronic sander/polisher which has become one of our best sellers. Many of our car enthusiasts absolutely love this very powerful polisher. The Makita 9227C has a variable speed from 0 – 3,000 RPM for super slow buffing all the way up to a very aggressive polishing. The electronic speed control maintains constant speed under load. It also has a lock-on button which allows you to use the Makita Polisher at one speed.  Another great polisher is the Porter Cable 7424 car buffer which is guaranteed to bring out the very best finish on the most dull surfaces. What sets this Porter Cable Polisher apart from the rest of the pack is not just the low price, but also the performance and smoothness.

No more excuses for sporting  a dull finish – Get out there and polish.
